The Gloaming

What is editing?

Editing is a process of selecting clips in different shots and also to make a story for the audience to understand.

What is Elliptical editing?

Elliptical editing for example shows the audience that a character is waking up in a long shot without showing us of her sleeping.

Why are long shots used?

Long shots are used to remind the audience where the character is and to see that she is all alone.

What is non-diagetic sound?

Non-diagetic sound is when a character can’t hear a scary sound but the viewers can hear the sound.

How do we know she is bending down to pick up the ring?

Well there is a word called eye line, shows that the character is bending down and looking at something and cuts to the scene of the ring of what she is looking at.
